Durkhanai Ayubi’s book She Who Tastes, Knows left her with a creative swell that she felt spill out of the book’s pages and into the world.
Each scarf is inspired by the ingredients, ideas and motifs explored in her book. Blending Persian miniature style with botanical elements, the artwork was created in conjunction with UK based artist Ayesha Amjad.
The scarves were hand sewn by the women in The Social Outfit, a collective dedicated to employing migrants and refugees.
When you wear this scarf, may the warmth and care that went into its making wrap around you too.
Available in limited quantities. Each scarf is produced using fine silk with hand-finished edges, making every piece both a wearable artwork and a celebration of Afghan culture, storytelling and craftsmanship.
